Hi all!
First, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for wanting to be a part of Heart Thread Collective. I can really feel the love, and I have so much gratitude. We are building something really special, and I am so excited to share it with Louisville so soon. As the world continues to shift and change, it is so important for people to have a safe space like Heart Thread Collective. Thank you for being a part of our community.
I wanted to give you an update about a few things, and thought this was the easiest way (a list really makes my moon in Capricorn + Venus and Mercury in Virgo very happy)
Building update
I received the keys 1/15, and all of last week was spent meeting with the contractors that are going to transform the space! The electric and heat is currently off as it is being replaced, but hopefully next week (beginning 2/2) we will have lights and heat so I (and any of my volunteers) can get to work.
I’ve got flooring to repair, bathrooms to remodel, wallpaper to go up, painting, and cleaning (so much cleaning!). There will also be opportunities to help imagine the secret garden courtyard space very soon. The interior walls should be framed out by next week as well, so the space will really start to come together!
We are on track to open March 21 (Spring Equinox weekend)
Interior Renovations 1/28/2026
Opportunities to help
Instagram followers. It would be so awesome if you could each ask like 3-5 friends to follow @heart.thread.collective. This will help with our visibility and organic growth. (I know insta is a double edge sword; evil and yet the way so many people stay connected… doing the best we can with the tools we have!)
Tools - I am looking to borrow a paint sprayer, in particular for ceilings. Bonus points if you or someone you know can show me how to operate it ;)
Helping out in person - As I mentioned above, there is plenty to do around the studio, and I am hoping to get in there next week 2/2. I will most likely be there Monday-Thursday 9a - 4p (ish). Totally get it if you’re only available nights/weekends, I will have some of those coming up soon too. Starting 2/25 my dad (an amazing carpenter!) will be in town to help with the finish work, and we will be there pretty much all the time. Would LOVE any help you can provide. Send me a text at 607-222-1726 and we will set it up, or just swing by! 1217 Logan Street
If you come help me in person I will give you the cutest merch as a thank you!
Saturday 2/21 Meet Up -
I’d like to plan a meet up teachers and facilitators for Saturday 2/21 at 1pm. This will be a time for us to all see the space together, meet each other, and go over some house keeping things, and I expect the meeting to be about 1.5-2 hours.
Please let me know if you can/cannot make it. RSVP by 2/2.
If you are only leading occasional workshops please don’t feel like you HAVE to come - you are welcome to though!
Sunday 2/22 Arthur’s Earth Sanctuary Fundraiser
Your fellow yoga teacher, future dreamer, and my good friend Dre is building an incredible yoga garden on land in the West End. He is hosting a fundraiser for it that includes yoga and bands on 2/22 at Portal in Portland - I hope you can join us in supporting this super important work!

Bio + Pic for website
Please start to prepare your bio for the website. This can be as simple as bullet points as I will most likely be rewriting them to match the vibe and tone of the website. I’d love to have the focus on how people will feel when they come to your class, and anything special about you. I am also happy to help any of you with this, and we can even have a bio writing zoom get together to workshop it if needed.
For photos, please send me a photo of yourself as a temp placeholder for the website. Once Studio One renovations are complete we will be having a photo shoot in there and I will get photos of all of you, but for now I’d like to have something for the website.
Due date 2/7 for mini bio and photo please
Daily Class Schedule
I am still working on the daily classes schedule, and should have a draft to y’all sometime very soon, my goal is by next week. I will be reaching out to folks individually to check on individual schedules and class ideas before we launch.
If you are still interested in teaching a class, but haven’t let me know when you are available, please text me at 607-222-1726 ASAP. Or if you know someone you think would be a good fit, please send them my contact info.
I am still looking for: 3 mat pilates classes on the schedule, along with another prenatal teacher (2-3 classes per week, and yoga Nidra teacher (2-3 classes/week).
Workshops
When I finish the daily classes schedule, then I will shift into workshops mode. I have a pretty good idea of what I want the first few months to look like in terms of weekend workshops, however I am still def looking for weekly class series that will be taking place in the art room, so please let me know if you are interested in leading any kind of class series or workshops in that room (has a big table and chairs, fits ~12, has the door to the secret garden courtyard).
I’m thinking like craft nights, art projects, candle making, book clubs, grief groups, learn about astrology, learn about tarot, learn about gardening, etc.
If you haven’t submitted the form with your workshop ideas, please do so ASAP. Click here for the link
Therapy Rooms
Thank you to those that expressed interest in the therapy rooms. I have already spoken with a few people, and I will be reaching out to the rest of you this week to check in.
I am still calling in a massage therapist and/or a Thai yoga massage person. Please let me know if you have any leads on this, or have any ideas where I might “advertise.”
Grand opening weekend March 20-22
I hope you can all attend this event, in particular Saturday March 21! And please let me know if you would like to help me conceptualize and organize the grand opening weekend. One of the ideas that I have is to have a “scavenger hunt” all throughout the building where guests need to interact with the people in each room in order to get a stamp on a card. When you fill the while card up, then you turn it in to be entered into a raffle (Julie, I got this idea from the May’s open houses!). I also want to have food (or maybe food truck(s) in the parking lot area, and some pop up vendors (Amanda - Aura photos!). I want to have free classes that weekend, but I’m not sure how it all works and fits together. I love to organize and throw a party, but I already have a full plate and would love some help :)
I think that is it for now… big love and gratitude to all of you!
