rachel vervalin

Rachel has always loved the outdoors, nature, campfires, and s'mores, so when her friends decided to open up Firelight Camps, she jumped at the opportunity to join the team as their yoga teacher. Since opening, Rachel has lead many public and private classes, and two super fun Finger Lakes Yoga, Wine & Food retreats. She grew up in the Ithaca area, and absolutely loves telling guests about her favorite must see spots around town and the area. She has been practicing yoga for 15+ years, and teaching for 7. She leads public classes in Ithaca, along with teaching private classes, workshops, retreats, and leading Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Rachel currently teaches Saturday mornings at Firelight Camps.

Lyndsey lyman

Lyndsey began practicing yoga in July of 2014. Since then, it has become an integral part of her life, helping her navigate her way to wellness from chronic illness caused by stress and disconnection from her body. As someone who did not enjoy yoga from the start, Lyndsey makes a point of conducting her classes in a way that is suitable for all levels, including first-timers, with clear instruction that keeps students safe. Lyndsey has experienced the deep sense of joy and connection that occurs from uniting body, mind, and spirit. She is honored to be able to offer classes to help others have this experience.

Lyndsey earned her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certification in Vinyasa Flow Yoga through Heart Thread Yoga. She teaches Sunday mornings at Firelight Camps.

elizabeth seldin

Elizabeth is a Yoga Teacher Alliance accredited Yoga Teacher from the beautiful Ithaca, New York. As someone who has had to call many different places her home she has found great comfort and joy in returning to the one place that has always stayed constant: Her Yoga Mat. Yoga is not only an incredible physical practice that helps the body do what it does best: heal, strengthen and flow but it is also transformative in ways that we as humans are still trying to articulate with words. One thing is true though. You will have an experience. Elizabeth’s approach is warm and fun with a focus on helping to create space for your own journey.

Elizabeth teaches Monday & Wednesday mornings at Firelight Camps.

nancy webster

Nancy loves that yoga is a balance between challenge and play, meeting her where she needs each day. She took her first yoga class in college, but felt a spark when she returned to her mat in 2015 as a runner looking to build core strength. She completed her 200 hour training at Mighty Yoga in 2018, focusing on vinyasa flow with an interest in restorative poses. Offering opportunities to explore strength and grace, Nancy’s classes offer a safe space for self exploration with invitations to make each practice your own.

Nancy teaches yoga at Firelight Camps on Thursday mornings.

andrea rennie

Andrea Rennie is a certified health coach, wellness consultant and 200-hour registered yoga teacher trained in the ashtanga-lineage. After walking out on her first-ever yoga class in her late-twenties because she felt totally lost and dizzy, Andrea tried yoga again a few years later with foundations videos at home. After gaining a little confidence, she connected with some great teachers, and fell in love with the calm, rooted feeling she experienced in her body after practicing - and she has been in love with yoga ever since! Never wanting any of her students to have a negative first yoga experience, Andrea creates an all-levels flow class rooted in Ashtanga-alignment and foundations, interweaving breathwork, meditation, and mobility, allowing you to sink in, decompress, and/or challenge yourself. Connect with her at @growhappygrowhealthy www.growhappygrowhealthy.com

Andrea teaches Tuesday morning at Firelight Camps.

mia thomas

Mia Thomas PT, DPT began her exploration of the body while getting her doctorate in physical therapy at Ithaca College. While she began practicing yoga as a form of exercise, Mia continued it because it provided her with the time to focus solely on her own body and mind and rediscover that connection in a different light. Mia completed her 200 hour yoga alliance certified teacher training with Rachel VerValin, E-RYT owner of Heart Thread Yoga. In June of 2017 Roam Yoga was created with the intent to make vinyasa flow yoga more accessible to all body types and ages.

Mia teaches Friday morning at Firelight Camps.
